.NAME Domains

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME universal domain name extension is the sole TLD supposed to be for personal websites only. These domains can include personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are famous by. At first, solely 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you planned to order john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already bought 3rd-level domain names remained active.

Through our company, you can acquire your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will be able to modify the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our company if you get its EPP transfer code from the current domain provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been finalized. There are no particular restrictions on who can reserve a dot NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the concept behind its creation alive, the Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration could be challenged.

The .NAME generic top-level domain name extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost.
